Should effective self-defense be limited to the fit and strong?

Read the article. He makes a very telling point concerning ability versus need.

The law, at least here in Texas, demands that we flee confrontation when possible. Sounds like a plan to me. OTOH, like Kurt Hofmann, I have my physical limitations. Not all of them are visible to casual observer. The body just isn't really up to hand-to-hand fighting.

Like I said, read his article & tell us what you think. Maybe we both can learn from the results.

The mind is as much of a weapon as the body, poised to react and protect.

I may only live another 40 or 50 years, but I'll carry as long as my mind is sharp.
